Biscuits With Sausage Gravy


3 lbs of sausage meat
1 Large onion
1 cup flour
½ gallon of milk
2 tbls oil
Salt and pepper to taste

4 large tubes or 6 tubes of biscuits

Cooking Instructions
1. Preheat 12” Dutch Oven (15 to 18 briquettes on bottom)
2. Finely chop onion.
3. Add oil and onion to dutch oven, stir constantly until onions become clear.
4. Add sausage and stir until brown.
5. Stir in flour.
6. Gradually add milk.
7. Cover and let thicken, stirring occasionally.

1. Preheat 12” Dutch Oven (17 briquettes on top and 8 briquettes on bottom)
2. Stack biscuits on their sides starting on the edge spiraling towards the middle of the dutch oven.
3. Bake 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown. Rotate oven lid to prevent burned spots.

Charcoal Recommendations: Gravy: 15 to 18 briquettes on bottom. Biscuits: 17 briquettes on top and 8 briquettes on bottom
