Details
Friday we will drive up to the park and put up tents. We have a group site reserved (it is a good one — we are right on the creek and can see the beach from our site). Saturday we will do a service project for the park (because we are scouts), but will also play at the beach (it is a GREAT beach), there is a very nice nature trail, and if the weather is warm enough, I have three kayaks and PFDs we can use to kayak the river.
Also this is a unique situation. IF any parents want to come but are not excited about tenting, we have a condo 1 mile away with beds to sleep in. My wife would LOVE people to come and sleep there!
Essentials to bring: Usual gear for cool weather camping
a. Clothes for cool weather.
b. 10 essentials
c. Also bring extra clothes in case we CAN kayak since you will get wet.
Will discuss details including menus and tents at the meetings.
